Parameter Meaning
Layer 5 Byte 01 to
Layer 5 Byte 16
Each Layer 5 Byte field specifies the properties of a single byte field
to match in the Layer 5 part of IP packets, which is the TCP or UDP
payload.
Offset The offset of a byte from the start of Layer 5. This specifies the
location of the byte to match.
Value The hexadecimal value to match at the location specified by Offset
Mask A hexadecimal number that specifies an eight-bit binary mask to
apply to the value before determining a match. A 1 in the mask
means that the value of the bit in that position is used to determine
a match, and a 0 means that the bit is ignored.
