SNMP-SERVER HOST
Syntax
snmp-server host A.B.C.D informs|traps version 1|2c
COMMUNITY-STRING
no snmp-server host A.B.C.D informs|traps version 1|2c
COMMUNITY-STRING
Parameters
A.B.C.D Specifies the name or the Internet address of
the host.
inform Sends SNMP inform messages to the host
specified.
traps Sends SNMP traps to the host specified.
version Specifies the SNMP version used to send the
traps. Choose from the following:
1 Indicates SNMPv1 traps.
2c Indicates SNMPv2c traps.
COMMUNITY-STRING Specifies the password community string that is
sent with the notification operation. There is no
default for this parameter.
Description
Use the SNMP-SERVER HOST command to create an SNMP v1 or v2c
host which is the recipient of SNMP notifications. In addition, you define
which SNMP mode (v1 or v2c) the host is able to receive.
Use the no form of the command to remove one or more of the following:
the specified host
specific traps that the host can receive
the community-string.
