Creating a Port Trunk
This procedure explains how to create a port trunk.
Caution
Do not connect the cables to the ports on the switches until after you
have configured the trunk with the management software.
Connecting the cables before configuring the software can create a
loop in the network topology. A loop can cause a broadcast storm
and poor network performance.
To create a port trunk, perform the following procedure:
1. From the Bridge folder, select Spanning Tree.
The System folder expands.
2. From the Spanning Tree folder, select Trunking.
The Trunking Page is shown in Figure 66.
