7. Enter a Group Name that you configured in the SNMPv3 Access
Table. Refer to “Creating an SNMPv3 Access Table Entry” on
page 169.
There are four default values for this field:
defaultV1GroupReadOnly
defaultV1GroupReadWrite
defaultV2cGroupReadOnly
defaultV2cGroupReadWrite
These values are reserved for SNMPv1 and SNMPv2c
implementations.
The following prompt is displayed:
Enter Storage Type [V-Volatile, N-NonVolatile]:
8. Select one of the following storage types for this table entry:
V-Volatile
Select this storage type if you do not want the ability to save an entry in
the SNMPv3 Group Table to the configuration file.
N-NonVolatile
Select this storage type if you want the ability to save an entry in the
SNMPv3 Group Table to the configuration file. Allied Telesis
recommends this storage type.
The following prompt is displayed:
Do you want to create this table entry? (Yes or No):
9. Type Y to create a new table entry, or type N to cancel the entry.
10. From the Main Menu, select System Configuration.
The System Configuration Menu is displayed, as shown in Figure 10
on page 46.
11. From the System Configuration Menu, select Save Configuration
File.
Deleting an
SNMPv3 Group
Table Entry
You may want to delete an entry from the SNMPv3 Group Table. When
you delete an SNMPv3 Group Table entry, there is no way to undelete, or
recover, the entry.
To delete an entry in the SNMPv3 Group Table, perform the following
procedure:
1. From the Main Menu, select System Configuration.
