34 Chapter 5: Turn-Up and Troubleshooting

Problem: There is a problem with the telephone service.

Solution: Check the following:

 Swap out the cable for a known good cable.

 For POTS phones and fax machines, verify that the dial mode for the telephone and fax are correct,

according to the manual that was supplied with the telephone or fax.

 Check the telephone or fax machine for problems.
